The Piano Sonata No.7 in E-flat major by Franz Schubert is a sonata for solo piano composed in 1817, and originally published after Schubert's death in 1829 as Op. posth. 122. The sonata is in four movements: I. Allegro moderato : E flat major II. Andante molto : G minor III. Menuetto : E flat major IV. Allegro moderato : E flat major This sonata is a transposition and elaboration of the Sonata in D flat, D.567. Daniel Coren has summarised the nature of the recapitulation in the first movement of this sonata as "syncopated primary material".
